On behalf of the American Legion Auxiliary, welcome!

As you explore this Web site you will see how our volunteer members contribute their time and efforts to support our many programs serving veterans, youth and communities.

As National President, I travel around the world and meet many wonderful members who have taken on the spirit of our organization.  In the past year, our nearly 1 million volunteer members contributed more than 4 million hours and served more than 2 million individuals.

Your membership and volunteerism in our organization can make a difference for all Americans.I invite you to join us in our efforts to support our active military and assist our veterans who have given so much for our freedoms.Help our nation’s youth realize a better future, with the knowledge they are protected and safe.Support the principles of justice, freedom and democracy.Promote pride and patriotism in our country . . . and seek equality for all citizens.

Please join us--become a member of the American Legion Auxiliary!

Sincerely,

Jan Pulvermacher-Ryan

Auxiliary Current Member Message: You voiced your concerns--we listened--we changed!

Members have shared with National how frustrating it is to receive a renewal notice after their dues have been paid. The American Legion Auxiliary National Headquarters agrees.

Beginning in the 2007-2008 membership year, the new Renewal Notice Schedule will be implemented. In the past, four mailings were scheduled; under the new plan, there will only be three scheduled mailings.

Rather than sending the first notice in July, we have moved the mailing date to October. This later date will help ensure that our “early birds” do not continue to receive renewal notices after they have paid. The second notice is scheduled for February and a final notice in April. Remember: you too can be a dependable early bird just by paying your dues before we mail the first notice in October. By reducing the number of mailings, we reduce our costs and that means more funds will go toward our mission of supporting our veterans, our youth and communities.

Thank you for voicing your concerns and helping our organization grow and change to better serve our members and veterans. It is your loyal support that keeps this organization moving forward.
