Memorial DayEach year, to mark the very special day in which we remember all those who gave their lives in the service of their country, we display an Avenue of Flags around our Veterans Field of Honor. BE A PARTICIPANT - MAKE A DIFFERENCE
Mark your calendar for Wednesday, May 14th at 7 pm - Planning Meeting
Plan to join us with the planning of the Memorial Day events. Your participation in this event will make the day meaningful to yourself and those that it is in remembrance of. Memorial Day, originally called Decoration Day, is a day of remembrance for those who have died in our nation’s service.
Inspired by the poem “In Flanders Fields” red poppies are worn to honor those who died serving their country. Two years later the “Buddy” Poppy program was started. We cherish too, the Poppy red That grows on field where valor led, It seems to signal to the skies That blood of heroes never dies.
